Stirling Village businesses forced to close and relocate after $25m fire

Stirling Village shop owners have been forced to relocate after a huge blaze swept through the shopping centre on Sunday causing at least $25 million damage. Here’s what we know.

Stirling Village businesses have been forced to temporarily close or relocate in the wake of a devastating fire that ripped through the shopping precinct, causing $25m damage on Sunday.

Two 14-year-old local boys have been charged with arson after a huge blaze swept through a Hills supermarket on Sunday, causing shoppers to flee for their lives.

Here is everything we know so far about the affected businesses:

Bakers Delight

Bakers Delight Stirling will continue operating at their main store on Mount Barker Road for the foreseeable future.

Green Dispensary

The Green Dispensary pharmacy will remain closed until further notice.

In the meantime, customers can collect their scripts from healthSAVE pharmacy, located across the road in the Oak Plaza.

Stirling Variety Meats

Stirling Variety Meats took to social media to announce the store’s closure following the fire on Sunday.

Owner, Chris Pfitzner said it was unsure when he could resume trading but expected to lose up to $15,000 worth of stock and $150,000 worth of machinery.

Stockpot Stirling

Stockpot Stirling, whose stall and production facility are located inside the mall, will be closed until Thursday and will be operating temporarily at Stirling Hotel Patisserie.

In a statement on Instagram, the gourmet food business announced that they were preparing for the worst as they were “yet to understand” the extent of damage to their “beloved” store.
