Tens of thousands of South Australians gave the Marshall Government the finger at the ballot box – and one young woman did it on live TV.
While outgoing Premier Steven Marshall was giving his concession speech, a young red-haired woman who could be seen in the background on the TV broadcast was spotted repeatedly giving a sly middle finger in front of her forehead.
The Liberal Party hosted its post-election gathering at Norwood’s Robin Hood Hotel, in Mr Marshall’s electorate of Dunstan.
Hard to work out who this lady is signalling. Or has she just got a really itchy head from the hair dye? #adelaidepic.twitter.com/JiVrG1IpID

From the broadcast, it appeared the speech podium was set up in front of the pub’s smoking section, where the woman, who was later seen smoking, was standing.
Moments after conceding defeat to new state leader Peter Malinauskas, Mr Marshall dashed out of the function with media in tow.
He walked out of the hotel and down the footpath.
As his staff tried to get him to turn around, he was reportedly heard asking them to “get me the f*** out of here”.
