South Australia now boasts one of the most exclusive car showrooms on Earth, at The Bend Motorsport Park
The car sales yard question “Can I take it for a test drive?” takes on a whole new meaning at The Bend, where prospective customers can play with machines worth millions on the second longest GT circuit in the world.

Car nuts have an extra 800 reasons to drop in to The Bend Motorsport Park from now on, as it becomes home to one of the most exclusive cars on the planet.
One of only three in the southern hemisphere, the 800 horsepower Senna GTR is presented in the same livery as the famous McLaren MP4/4 Formula One car, driven by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost to victories in 15 of the 16 races held in the 1988 Formula One World Championship.
The hypercar is also the first to be offered for sale at The Bend’s Pit Lane Garage, a fully licenced new and used car dealership, which boasts one of the best test tracks in the world, and was launched on Saturday night.
The Bend Motorsport Park Director, Yasser Shahin said the showroom was the latest offering in what aimed to be a facility catering for all aspects of motorsport.
“Pit Lane Garage will serve as a one-stop location for prospective owners to engage with stunning machinery, from interacting with the car inside and out to driving it on one of The Bend’s several world-class layouts,’’ he said.
“We are in an incredible position to offer an experience to people that can range from just seeing these cars in the metal, cars they would not see anywhere else in Australia, to driving them on track for the full experience.
“From our Rydges Pit Lane Hotel, to the longest permanent circuit in the world outside the Nürburgring, Pit Lane Garage adds another premium experience to our offerings here at The Bend.”
The price of the McLaren is strictly on application, with interest expected from overseas and interstate.
Powered by a bespoke 4.0 Litre twin-turbo McLaren MT840R V8, the car includes a Formula One-inspired DRS (Drag Reduction System) rear wing, that also doubles as an air brake.
The McLaren Senna GTR will be demonstrated on the Sunday of the Repco Super Sprint event this weekend, and across the OTR Super Sprint event next weekend at The Bend Motorsport Park.
