SA weather: State battered by wild winds with heavy rain on the way during the week
SA has been pummelled by sideways rain and strong winds, leaving thousands without power and a trail of destruction. And while it has calmed down, more is on its way.

South Australia has been battered by horizontal rain and wild winds with gusts of more than 100km/h recorded.
Homes and businesses have been left damaged and without power, with trees down across the state, including one that fell on a driver at Williamstown, northeast of Adelaide.
The Bureau of Meteorology is warning of more damaging winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of up to 100 km/h.
Areas that may be affected include Adelaide, Murray Bridge, Kingscote, Gawler, Victor Harbor, Meningie, Jamestown, Burra and Peterborough.
So far, a 102 km/h wind gust was recorded at Cape Willoughby at 1:45am, with 98 km/h at Edithburgh just after 4.30am, and 96 km/h at Outer Harbor Tide Gauge at 3:41am.
By 8.30am, the SES had responded to 55 incidents across the state, all relating to severe weather – such as tiles off roofs and trees down – with call-outs in Adelaide and on the Yorke and Fleurieu peninsulas.
Power outages were reported across the state with 21 outages affecting more than 5000 customers, including at Macclesfield, parts of Salisbury and One Tree Hill at the peak of the bad weather on Tuesday morning.
By lunchtime, the number of outages had dropped to 12, with just over 1100 customers affected.
The State Emergency Service advises people should move vehicles under cover or away from trees, secure or put away loose items around your property and stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
The winds are set to bring rain with up to 10mm expected in Adelaide, most likely in the morning.
The rain picks up on Wednesday with up to 25mm tipped for Adelaide and up to 35mm for Robe in the South-East.
The wet weather comes with chilly temperatures and a maximum of 13C forecast for Adelaide on Wednesday
Other regional areas will get a soaking on Wednesday with 20mm tipped for Kadina, 10mm for Murray Bridge, 10mm in Jamestown in the Mid North and Keith in the Upper South-East.
The rain is set to hang around into Thursday and Friday with about 10mm tipped for Adelaide.
