Police are investigating after a person was killed in a house fire at Mount Gambier in the state’s south east.

Police are investigating after a person was killed in a house fire at Mount Gambier in the state’s south east.
SA Police said emergency services were called to McIntosh St just before 6am Sunday after the blaze was reported.
Crews attended and found one occupant dead inside the property.
The person’s age or gender are not yet known.
The blaze was extinguished in about 20 minutes, with three MFS units and one CFS unit attending.
Police said a second occupant escaped the fire and was treated for smoke inhalation.
Limestone Coast CIB detectives are investigating the blaze and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
Fire cause investigators will attend the property on Sunday to determine the cause of the blaze.
