A father-of-two has left behind his children and wife after he tragically lost his life in a horror collision in the northern suburbs on Sunday night.
Brad Thompson died at the scene in front of his family members including his new wife, Karen Thompson, who he recently married after his first wife died of cancer.
Mr Thompson was riding home from work when his motorcycle collided with the Mazda.
It was revealed on Monday that he worked at Adelaide Zoo as a security officer for Corporal Security, the contractor to Zoos SA.
“Brad was known to all of us at Zoos SA and our hearts go out to his family and friends,” Zoos SA chief executive Elaine Bensted said.
Devastated friends visited the scene, leaving floral tributes for the 45-year-old Evanston Park man.
“He was just a great bloke, he’d do anything for you,” friend Michelle Palmer told 7NEWS.
Another friend, Jamie Palmer, said Brad was “one of the good guys”.
“He’d come round and help. It’s going to be such a loss to the group of friends,” Mr Palmer said.
Friends of Brad have vowed to support his children, who have now lost both parents.
