A mystery South Australian millionaire has just two weeks left to claim a life-changing prize of $1 million.
The division one winning ticket was purchased from a Mawson Lakes BP on Salisbury Highway on September 27 last year and must be collected within 12 months of the draw date.
After that period, the money is forfeited to the Lotteries Commission of South Australia, which has its own claim process and associated administration costs.
Because the entry was unregistered, The Lott has had no means to reach or notify the winner.
The Lott spokeswoman Khat McIntyre said time was running out for the mystery player to come forward and urged everyone to check their tickets as soon as possible.
“It’s likely our mystery winner has been going about their year as normal with no idea they became an overnight millionaire almost a year ago,” she said.
“Can you imagine if you’ve been unknowingly holding the golden ticket worth $1 million for an entire year?
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Monday and Wednesday X Lotto ticket from BP Mawson Lakes to check their tickets as soon as possible.
“Make sure you check your wallets, handbags, car glovebox or anywhere you may have an old ticket, because the winner could be you and you could be planning what to do with your prize.”
The winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday X Lotto draw 4325 last September 27 were 15, 41, 14, 35, 4 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 20 and 37.
“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 immediately to begin the process of claiming your prize,” Ms McIntyre said.
