SA Braces For Omicron Peak 15/01/22

South Australia is on the cusp of its Omicron wave peak that could hit as early as today.

More than a quarter of South Australian workers are being short-changed on their superannuation, according to new figures, which reveal employers are withholding close to $300m in compulsory payments each year.

The state’s universities have recorded huge demand for undergraduate places in health courses, showing young South Australians’ booming interest in the sector with the biggest growth and jobs potential.

And in sport, a veteran spin star bowling with a broken rib and an English batsman plucked from suburban cricket in Melbourne in a “whirlwind week” took down the all-conquering Perth Scorchers to rattle a few Big Bash cages on Friday.
