The Bureau of Meterology forecaster Simon Tinke said the rain rough weather conditions have almost cleared up.

“There were a could of showers moving across this morning, and it intensified a little bit as they moved over the warner waters of the gulf and they hit the land as they moved across the coast.

“We ended up getting a couple of strikes of lightening and rumbles of thunder and there were a few areas that did receive a small hail.

“But that sort of band of more intense rainfall has moved well into the east now. Still got a couple of showers pushing up from the southwest but no further lightening.
