Prince Andrew has arrived in Adelaide for a busy three-day visit, which will include promoting his bid to kickstart the careers of budding entrepreneurs.
The Duke of York arrived in the city on Sunday as part of an Australian tour to champion his Pitch@Palace program.
Pitch@Palace connects up-and-coming entrepreneurs with CEOs, influencers, partners and mentors, who can help turn their business dreams into a reality.
Prince Andrew will speak at a competition event at the University of South Australia on Monday, and also attend several functions during his two-night stay in Adelaide.
On Sunday, he was a special guest at a ceremony honouring 12 World War I airmen who have been posthumously added to the Roll of Honour at the National War Memorial on North Tce.
The Duke then enjoyed a garden party at Government House with the veterans’ families before attending an event to celebrate the Aboriginal art festival, Tarnanthi, at the Art Gallery of South Australia.
He finished his evening with a private dinner at Government House.
On Monday will attend a defence roundtable before heading to the Innovation, Incubator, Start-up and Growth Hub at Lot 14 — the old Royal Adelaide Hospital site.
He will then speak at the University of SA’s Pitch@Palace event and visit the Royal Institution of Australia. The Prince’s official duties will end with a dinner hosted by SA Governor Hieu Van Le at Government House.
The Duke will fly out of Adelaide on Tuesday morning.
During his nine-day visit to Australia, Prince Andrew’s itinerary also included trips to Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, the Gold Coast.
