The Prime Minister will touchdown in Adelaide on Sunday when he is expected to kick off a series of campaigns he has promised in the lead up to the next election.
The Sunday Mail understands a rally will be held in in Norwood that takes in the knife-edge inner city seat of Sturt, which is currently held by the Liberal’s James Stevens.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is expected to deliver a speech that expands on an education announcement made over the weekend that targets inner-city younger voters.
The federal government announced the Albanese government would raise the minimum repayment threshold for student loans and cut repayment rates to make the system fairer for those facing debts.
On Friday night it was revealed cash-strapped graduates will not have to pay back their student debt until they earn at least $67,000 in 2025-2026.
The benefit will apply to both university and vocational training loans, the government claiming the new policy would see the average HELP student debt holder save $680 in repayments each year.
