SA cyber companies will learn from US experts under a deal signed by Premier Steven Marshall, as he considers a special hub for the industry on Lot Fourteen.
Mr Marshall is in the US on a trade mission to the G’Day USA expo, which seeks to link local businesses to opportunities in the world’s biggest market. He said the State Government had partnered with Austrade, the national export agency, to support development of Australia’s cybersecurity capabilities.
Mr Marshall, pictured, said the move would result in SA companies learning from market-leading US cybersecurity experts.
“Fortunately, the state already boasts a globally-connected entrepreneurial community that can support the development of cyber-related products and services and educate the public about safe cyber practices,” he said.
The 2019 Australian Cyber Security Mission to the USA is planned for February and March this year and participants will be linked to potential new partners and investors.
A delegation of Silicon Valley tech, start-up and business leaders will reciprocate , travelling to SA to network with local government and business stakeholders in February.
