Police officers have been captured on camera taking part in an attack exercise at Westfield Marion on Wednesday night.
Dramatic footage shows people lying on the floor inside the centre, some of which appeared to be bleeding while one man was seen in handcuffs.
Designed to help improve security protection, the drill took place around 5pm until 11pm and involved officers from the Special Tasks and Rescue (STAR) Group and the Security Response Section.
It was contained to one end of the mall with officers posted outside various entrances during the exercise.
The training comes after two teens were charged with threatening to kill someone with one allegedly bringing a firearm to the centre in March.
