Police officers have been assaulted during the arrest of a man after a car fire and “disorderly conduct” in Adelaide’s west.

Two police officers have been assaulted during the arrest of a man after a car fire in Adelaide’s western suburbs.
Police were investigating reports of a man acting in a disorderly manner at Findon just before 3am on Sunday when they discovered a Holden sedan on fire in a driveway on Crittenden Rd.
Firefighters managed to quickly put out of the blaze while police found a suspect a short distance away.
When officers searched the man they found a screwdriver and a lighter, police said.
During the arrest, two police officers were assaulted. The officers were not injured.
A Woodville South man, 25, was charged with arson, disorderly behaviour, carrying offensive weapon and two counts of assault to an emergency worker.
He was refused police bail and will attend Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
