Police investigations are under way after a cash register and charity tin were stolen in a string of break-ins across the western suburbs overnight.
Police believe the break-ins, which occurred at Mile End, Torrensville and Woodville, may be linked after two young men were allegedly spotted attempting to break into a business on Henley Beach Rd, before being confronted by an employee fleeing around 11pm on Saturday.
Hours later at 2am police were called to a nearby bakery after the front glass doors were smashed with the alleged offenders taking off with a cash register and charity tin.
A Hanson Rd jewellery shop was also broken into about 5am with suspects smashing through the glass doors. It’s not yet known if anything was stolen.
Police urge anyone with information or CCTV/dashcam footage that may assist with the investigation to contact Crime Stopper on 1800 333 000.
