A driver is on the run after smashing their car through a brick fence and into a home at College Park on Thursday.

A driver is on the run after smashing their car through a brick fence and into a home at College Park on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to Harrow Rd after a maroon Honda sedan ploughed through a brick fence, smashed through a veranda post and crashed into the bedroom window about 6.20pm.

Witnesses told police they saw the driver getting out of the car before running west of Harrow Rd.

Police and police dog Echo were called in to search but were not able to locate the driver.

The occupants of the property were not injured and the Honda was towed from the scene.

Investigations are continuing, and police ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

Lucky escape after car and road train collide

Police are investigating a crash at Waterloo Corner that left a truck driver injured.

Emergency services rushed to Port Wakefield Highway after receiving reports of a collision between a road train and a car on Friday, just before 1.15am.

The driver of the Hyundai sedan, a 33-year-old woman from Salisbury North has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

She will undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

Meanwhile, police say “the driver of the road train was injured”.

Investigations into the crash is ongoing and any witnesses are asked to contact Crime Stoppers online or 1800 333 000.
