Investigations have been launched into two suspicious car fires that happened near each other in Adelaide’s southern suburbs in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Emergency services responded to reports of a car ablaze in Christine St at Morphett Vale about 5.15am.

The Suzuki hatch was completely engulfed in flames before fire crews put out the blaze.

Just minutes later, police and firefighters were called to a second fire in the rear carpark of a hotel on Main South Rd at Morphett Vale where a Holden Commodore was completely destroyed by a blaze.

Police have treated both incidents as deliberately lit and crime scene investigators went to the scenes.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or has footage of either incident to come forward.
