Police hunt two suspects wanted over violent Windy Point carjacking
Two mates enjoying the views at Adelaide’s well-known Windy Point lookout were left stranded and very shaken after carjackers armed with machetes took off with their car.

Authorities have released descriptions of two men wanted over a violent robbery at a notorious Adelaide lookout.
Shortly after 12.00am on Friday, a 21-year-old man and his passenger were
threatened with weapons by two strangers while sitting inside a stationary vehicle at the Windy Point lookout at Belair.
The suspect demanded the pair get out of the red VW sedan, before a second suspect appeared and the men sped off along Belair Rd. The victims did not sustain any injuries.
One of the victims told The Advertiser the first suspect approached the vehicle and asked to make a phone call.
“He called the number and there was no answer,” he said.
“He walked off and came back as we were about to leave … the second suspect jumped out of the bushes and they both pulled machetes out of their pants.
“We managed to get to the other side of the carpark, it was pretty scary, I’m just glad we didn’t get hurt.”
The victim said there were no witnesses to the alleged crime but a young couple overheard the commotion from a nearby property and waited with the pair until the police arrived.
The stolen sedan was tracked to South Rd at Glandore where officers found property belonging to one of the victims.
The car was found hours later dumped in Lorenzo Court at Angle Vale and has been seized for forensic examination.
The first suspect is described as of as African appearance, between 16-19 years old, around 170cm tall with a slim build, broad nose, dark eyes and short hair. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper and grey pants.
The second suspect is described as of African appearance, between 18-20 years old, around 180cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper.
Police are appealing to members of the public with knowledge of the incident to Crime Stoppers on 1800 000 333.
