Police hunt for driver as man left with serious injuries near Pioneer Park at Salisbury

A man has been seriously hurt in an alleged hit-and-run crash in the northern suburbs, and police are appealing for help to find the driver.

A man has suffered serious injuries in an alleged hit-and-run in the northern suburbs.

Police were called to Commercial Rd in Salisbury near Pioneer Park about 9.30pm on Wednesday after a man was struck by a car.

A 25-year-old man sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver allegedly failed to stop after the crash.

Police suspect the vehicle involved to be a maroon-coloured Mazda sedan and are urging the driver to come forward. Anyone who witnessed the crash or was driving through the area at that time and has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

Meanwhile, police and emergency services are responding to a serious crash on the Eyre Highway, about 27 kilometres west of Yalata, after reports two trucks have crashed.
