Police hunt arsonists over $300k house fire in Saddleworth
Fire crews have battled a huge blaze in the state’s Mid-North that destroyed a house as well as a car and boat. Amazingly, the couple’s dogs were saved.

Authorities have launched an investigation into a suspected arson attack on a home in the state’s Mid-North.
The blaze erupted around 10pm on Saturday night on Mary St in Saddleworth, destroying the single-storey house alongside a car and a speed boat.
On arrival, fire crews found the home fully alight but prevented the flames from spreading to neighbouring properties.

Residents were not present at the time and their dogs were safely rescued.
The fire is being treated as suspicious and the damage bill is estimated around $300,000.
SA Police, SA Ambulance, Fire Cause Investigators and SA Power Networks went to the scene and an appeal has been launched for any information or dashcam footage that may help with the investigation.
