Police charge seven people after massive drug bust in Adelaide’s south
Seven people have been charged after close to $200,000, cars, motorbikes and kilograms of drugs were allegedly found across Adelaide’s southern suburbs.

Seven people, including one charged on 88 counts of drug trafficking, has been arrested, and kilograms of drugs and $174,000 in cash seized during a major drug sting in the southern suburbs.
Among the seven arrests was an Aldinga Beach who was charged with 88 counts of drug trafficking and one count of money laundering on Wednesday.
The arrest came after police allegedly discovered $155,000 in cash, 40 grams of methamphetamine, two cars and three motorcycles. He was refused bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Thursday.
A search at properties in Sellicks Beach, Modbury North, Windsor Gardens and Holden Hill allegedly led to discoveries of more methamphetamine, 100 grams of cocaine, five kilograms of pseudoephedrine, one kilogram of iodine, two litres of hypo-phosphorous acid and a clandestine lab.
As a result, a Sellicks Beach man, 39, was charged with six counts of drug trafficking and two counts of breaching bail. He was also refused bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The arrests come as part of an investigation into drug distribution across Adelaide’s southern suburbs by SA Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Branch.
Two more men were arrested on Thursday, after police searched properties at Morphett Vale and Hackham.
A Morphett Vale man, 35, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking after $8000 cash was allegedly found. A Hackham man, 48, was charged with 11 counts of drug trafficking after one gram of methamphetamine and $11,000 was allegedly discovered.
Both men were bailed to appear in court at a later date.
Also on Wednesday, police arrested two men at a Hackham shopping centre.
The two men, 34 and 37, of Windsor Gardens and Port Noarlunga South, were both charged with drug trafficking, after they were allegedly found with one kilogram of methamphetamine.
Both men were refused bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Also on Wednesday, a Huntfield Heights man, 64, was arrested at an address in the same suburb, after police found 14 grams of methamphetamine. He was also refused bail and appeared in court on Wednesday.
Detective Chief Inspector David Scutchings, of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch said the results came after a lengthy investigation.
“SAPOL will continue to proactively investigate people who choose to place the community at risk by trafficking drugs,” he said.
Police said more arrests were expected.
