Four drivers involved in separate hit-run crashes across Adelaide over that past day are on the run and being hunted by police.
In the latest incident, a black ute hit a black Honda Accord heading southwest on the Salisbury Highway at Parafield Gardens about 9am Friday.
The driver of the ute did not stop after the crash, and kept driving southwest.
A witness saw the collision and followed the ute to Port Wakefield Rd, but the car was lost as it drove towards the city.
The Honda had significant rear damage.
Police are hunting the driver, and say the registration plates are from interstate, with ‘TIE’ on part of them.
A few hours earlier, a stolen car was found crashed and abandoned in Blackwood.
The Holden VT Commodore had smashed into a bollard about 4.45am, and the driver had fled.
The crash had heavily impacted the side of the car – which had been stolen from a Hawthorndene address some time after 5pm Thursday.
A suspect driving a stolen ute crashed into four parked cars on Hawker St at Ridleyton about 6am Thursday.
Witnesses saw the driver flee the scene, running through the carpark of a nearby supermarket.
The man is described as being 175cm tall, medium build, wearing khaki pants, brown boots and a blue waterproof hooded top
The white Ford ute was stolen from Beverly in recent days.
About an hour after that, a white BMW travelling east on the Salisbury Highway lost control and crashed into a fence over a median strip at Dry Creek.
The driver fled the scene before police arrived, and the crash was determined to be high impact.
