A 19-year-old Inman Valley man has died after a single car collision in Meadows, and there has been another serious single car crash in Kangaroo Flat

A 19-year-old Inman Valley man is dead after his car crashed into a tree early this morning in Meadows.

He was driver and sole occupant of the Nissan Patrol, and police said he died at the scene.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Police and emergency services were called the crash on Battunga Rd at 6.50am on Sunday morning.

Battunga Rd was closed between Madiment Rd and Kondoparinga Rd but has since been reopened.

It is the 11th fatality on South Australian roads compared with 16 lives lost at the same time last year.

Meanwhile, there has been another serious collision between a car and a tree at Kangaroo Flat today.

Just after 1.30pm on Sunday, police were called to Redbanks Rd, after the car hit the tree.

Police and emergency crews are at the scene.

Currently Redbanks Rd is closed between Lucas Rd and Nottle Rd.
