Quorn man dies after crash near Port Broughton

A mid-north man has died after his car came off a country road and slammed into a tree at high speed.
Just before 1.30pm on Monday, CFS and SES crews were sent to Upper Yorke Rd, south of Port Broughton, with police and ambulance following minutes later.
Major Crash investigators were at the site in the afternoon.
Police said a 35-year-old man from Quorn was behind the wheel and died at the scene.
Upper Yorke Road is still closed in both directions between Bypass Rd and Youngs Rd and police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
The man’s death is the 105th life lost on South Australian roads compared to 62 at the same time last year.
