A quaint 1959-built house is set to be bulldozed to make way for an imposing white mansion in Adelaide’s east.
Documents submitted this month to PlanSA proposed to build the two-storey house on a corner block in Beaumont, with a total building area size of 572.0 m².
It would include a swimming pool with a glass pool fence, a spacious 78m² garage, a 219.1 m² upper living area and a 145.5 m² lower living area.
The home would also boast four bedrooms, TV room with dropped ceiling, lift, terrace, balcony, alfresco area and spacious corridors.
Plans show potential overshadowing to neighbouring homes.
The curved mansion designed by Abela Design & Drafting would mark a stark change from the present three-bedroom house at the site.
The brick house, built in 1959, sold in July 2023 for $1.27m.
The plans are on public display until June 12.
