Man, 61, injured, flown to hospital after plane crashes at remote station in Tarcoola

A 61-year-old man has been flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital following a plane crash in the Far North of South Australia.
About 3.45pm Friday, emergency services received reports of a mustering plane struggling while trying to land and crashing at a remote outback station.
The light aircraft got into strife and eventually went down at Wilgena Homestead near Tarcoola, four hours north of Port Augusta.
Woomera Emergency Services as well as units from Roxby Downs confirmed there was no entrapment following the plane crash.
One man was reported to be injured with bruising and lacerations.
An SAAS media spokesperson confirmed the man was breathing and being attended to by medical staff on board the aircraft.
A Royal Flying Doctor Service aircraft was able to retrieve the man and by 7.30pm the hospital transfer of the crash victim was underway.
