Self-proclaimed ‘average footballer’ Peter Malinauskas pulled on the boots for his beloved Adelaide University Football Club on the weekend, with the Premier receiving a special delivery that helped transform him into an ‘elite player’.

TikTok star Joel Eyles, known as ‘Checkers’, spotted the Premier playing for the Blacks on an adjacent oval on Saturday and decided to give him a special delivery at quarter time.

“He looked like he needed a choccy milk desperately,” a TikTok video documenting the experience said.

“So the div 12 ressie boys came through clutch.

“Pete was so excited to indulge in some choccy milk goodness.”

The special delivery seemed to elevate the Premier’s standard of play, with the video capturing him pulling off several courageous marks in the second half of the match.

“It even made him start playing like an elite player,” the video said.

Mr Malinauskas even returned the favour by delivering ‘Checkers’ his own shipment of chocolate milk at the quarter-time break of his game for Lockleys, which he gratefully accepted.

‘Checkers’ and his sidekick Riley Srey have amassed a healthy following on social media documenting their lives as “div 12 ressies” footballers.

Their account marmalade_aus boasts almost 74,000 followers on TikTok and 24,000 followers on Instagram.

Viral videos include ‘Checkers’ receiving chocolate milk from a runner during matches instead of water, while another documents his girlfriend commentating a match and fulfilling her dream of becoming a ‘WAG’.

For the record, Mr Malinauskas’ Blacks suffered a 46-point defeat against Colonel Light Gardens, while ‘Checker’s’ Lockleys Football Club copped a 130-point belting at the hands of Prince Alfred Old Collegians.
