The battle for seats in the Senate is heating up in South Australia with One Nation leader Pauline Hanson in Adelaide this week to spruik her Upper House candidate.
Senator Hanson, who is still recovering after having her appendix removed in early April, arrived in town yesterday.
She will spend the next four days travelling the state from Murray Bridge to Port Lincoln with lead Senate candidate Jennifer Game.
But Senator Hanson, pictured, told The Advertiser she has not ruled out announcing more SA candidates to compete in the election.
“I’ve always received a warm response when I’ve been in Adelaide, and people are supporting One Nation,” she said.
Senator Hanson is the second minor party leader to campaign in SA, following Conservative National Party leader Fraser Anning, who visited last week. Both have beaten the major party leaders who will be in Melbourne today.
Her arrival coincides with the latest Newspoll results, showing support for Senator Hanson’s One Nation party has fallen, giving Scott Morrison his best primary vote for the Coalition since the last election.
