Over 2400 homes across SA without power during AFL Grand Final

Multiple power outages have been reported across SA leaving over 2400 homes unable to watch the AFL Grand Final.

As the entire nation has their eyes glued to their TVs to watch the AFL Grand Final, over 2400 homes across the state will be without power until after the game.

Just over 440 homes in the hills have been hit with a sudden power outage in Crafers, Piccadilly, Stirling, Summertown, Uraidla, the cause of which is unknown, with power expected to return at 5.45pm.

In the suburbs, 338 homes across Clovelly Park, Marion and Mitchell Park will also be without power until 5pm.

About 110 homes in Salisbury East are experiencing a sudden outage and won’t have power until 4:30pm, along with 79 in Semaphore which will have power at 3.45pm.

The state was hit by a series of sudden power outages before the first bounce on Saturday afternoon, impacting almost 3000 customers across the metro.

More than 1600 people were without power in homes across Clarence Gardens, Clarence Park, Colonel Light Gardens, Cumberland Park, Hawthorn, Lower Mitcham, Mitchell Park and Westbourne Park. Crews.

The outage across the southeastern suburbs was caused by “vegetation contact” with equipment with crews restoring power around 3pm.

The cause of the other outages is yet to be determined.
