An outback community has rallied together to support a woman on her road to recovery after she lost her arm in a motorcycle accident on October 27.

Quorn local Karah Knight is now learning to “adapt to this life changing challenge”, with her best friend Tenille Roeby launching a GoFundMe to support her recovery – raising more than$26,000 over the past week.

“There is too much to say about Karah, but if you know Karah at all then you know how much she helps and supports those around her, always going out of her way to help others,” Ms Roeby wrote.

“My goal is to show Karah that she also has the love and support around her that she gives to others in such tragic times.

“All funds raised will be used to assist Karah to receive the best recovery available to her as she learns to adapt to this life changing challenge.

“Any donations big or small will go towards Karah’s road to recovery.”

Local clothing brand Rustle Up Equine has also thrown their support behind the cause, making a trucker hat in Ms Knight’s honour with the money from each sale going directly to her.

“All of the profits go to Karah, so this is a great way to have a great looking cap and help out a friend in need!!!” the business wrote on Facebook.

There are also donation tins located around the mid-north town at the Quandong Cafe, The Quorn Butcher, Quorn Rural Supplies and The Transcontinental Hotel.

“If you have any spare change please help our beautiful girl on her road to recovery,” Ms Roeby posted.

“She really does deserve the world and so much more.”
