Peppers Waymouth Adelaide is back with a stylish bang after spending most of the last few pandemic-ridden years as a dedicated Covid-19 medi-hotel.
Accor Hotel’s five-star accommodation is boasting 202 newly renovated rooms along with a fresh restaurant, high-end private dining room, guest library lounge and conference rooms.
Paul Pruszinski, the hotel’s original architect, has produced a fresh and inspiring space with the help of PACT Architects, Lucid and BUILDinc.
The hotel’s top tier suites, named after the newly upgraded and neighbouring Bentham St, are the showstopping element of this luxurious hotel.
The exclusive suites are complete with a separate living and dining area, fireplace, large flat screen TV, Italian marble bathroom and breathtaking views of Adelaide.
The remaining 17 floors are host to a variety of different rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and European grandeur-inspired interior.
The premium rooms showcase open plan bathrooms accompanied by a deep bath and marble tiling.
Two dedicated family suites are equipped with separate spaces, both with a king size bed, and apartment-style amenities.
The hotel’s own restaurant, TUTTO Cucina + Bar, serves guests with mouth-watering Italian cuisine and a diverse breakfast buffet.
Accor Pacific chief executive officer Sarah Derry said the “transformative renovation takes the hotel experience to an entirely new level and complements the high quality of service provided by the hotel team”.
“Peppers Waymouth brings a new vibrancy to Waymouth St, drawing international and local visitors to the city,” she said.
Vanessa Salamone, from Adelaide, chose to stay at Peppers Waymouth to be closer to a work event over the Australia Day public holiday.
“I would stay again,” she said.
“It exceeded my expectations … I didn’t expect it to be so luxurious.”
Hotel guests Jennifer and David Sutherland, visiting from regional New South Wales, said Peppers provided them with quality and affordable accommodation.
Ms Sutherland said the couple have enjoyed their “apartment-style spacious room” and the friendly and helpful staff.
“Everything is attended to,” she said.
The Vibe Hotel and TRYP by Wyndham will also open early this year to contribute to the state’s growing hospitality industry.
This comes as the Playford Hotel on North Tce, which was also a medi-hotel, reopened last year after refurbishments.
