Personal trainer Norman Low has been handed an interim prohibition order by the state’s health complaints commissioner for falsely claiming to be an accredited dietitian.

An Adelaide personal trainer has been banned from falsely claiming to be an accredited dietitian by the state’s health complaints commissioner.
Norman Low was issued an interim prohibition order by the Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner after claiming he was an accredited practising dietitian on his public website.
The Dietitians Association of Australia advised the HCSCC that Mr Low is not, and never has been, a dietitian.
An investigation has been launched by the HCSCC, following a complaint from a consumer about a diet plan provided to them.
The prohibition order comes into effect today, for three months.
Mr Low is not prohibited from offering generalist nutrition advise, but the public will be advised if that changes.
The man’s website, Norm Low Fitness and Nutrition Coach, advertises a “best selling training and nutrition package designed to completely transform your life” and personalised nutrition plans “written by an accredited sports nutritionist and dietitian”.
His fitness Instagram page has more than 14,000 followers.
