The newest Pinco Deli site on Gilles St has served its first customers their gourmet sandwiches after it opened on Monday at 7.30am.
Pinco Deli’s inaugural location opened at Glen Osmond Rd in Eastwood in September 2022.
It comes after Jimmy Barry, the owner-operator of specialty coffee roaster and city cafe Paddy Barry’s, announced in May he was shutting its doors.
Pinco Deli owner Saba Maghsoudi said he used to visit Paddy Barry’s “all the time” and he was excited to expand with a location in the city.

In May, Mr Barry, 30, told The Advertiser the intense demands of the business, where he would work up to 70 hours a week, and a desire to spend more time with his family were the reasons behind his decision to close.
“I could see the ceiling was high for the business but the time and energy it takes to get to that point, I couldn’t justify it,” Mr Barry said at the time.
“I thought there’s something else out there that might better suit me.”
