Footage has emerged of the heart stopping moment a taxi collided with a motorcycle at Glen Osmond on Wednesday afternoon.
A 45-year-old motorcyclist from Mt Barker was seriously injured in a collision, which occurred at around 1.15pm on Portrush Road and closed a portion of the thoroughfare for a short time.
In a video obtained by 7NEWS, the motorcyclist can be seen approaching an intersection when the taxi comes into the frame and collides with the rider, sending him and his bike skidding while the taxi comes to a halt.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident.
On Thursday, he remained in a stable condition at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
A 42-year-old Valley View man was not injured during the collision.
Both the bike and taxi suffered damage, with footage showing dents and scratches where the motorcycle collided with the vehicle.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
