She will be joined by her daughter, “Future Woman” Cordelia.

Cordelia, 10, is inspired by Emma Watson. The actor is UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador. “I love her,” Cordelia says, adding she also loves her “Future Woman” T-shirt.

The T-shirts, made by Byron Bay label Auguste, are part of the campaign.

“It makes me feel empowered (and) strong,” she says. “I will be a strong woman in the future but I’m also powerful and strong now!”

The profits from the T-shirts will go to UN Women to help promote gender equality.

Ms Stott Despoja says they are also encouraging women and girls to post selfies with the hashtag UNWomenAustralia.

.

“It’s great to celebrate how multifaceted we are as women and girls … I am not defined solely by being a mother,” she says, adding she is “haunted by the global epidemic of violence against women and children”.
