Badcoe member MP Jayne Stinson’s life is about to change in a big way.
With an ultrasound picture in hand, the glowing Badcoe member revealed she is pregnant by posting the announcement on Facebook, late Tuesday evening.
Ms Stinson looked ecstatically in love glancing at the ultrasound photo in one hand and her other hand patting the baby bump.
Ms Stinson wrote: “Badcoe’s newest resident arriving soon!”
Ms Stinson’s friend – Adelaide MP Lucy Hood said the friendship circle celebrated the happy news on Sunday together.
“So incredibly happy for you!!!!What a beautiful Sunday arvo celebrating Baby Badcoe!!! Xxx,” Ms Hood wrote.
Other well wishers have flooded the comment section to congratulate Ms Stinson’s growing family, with about 700 people liking the post and almost 300 leaving a kind word.
Elder MP Nadia Clancy commented: “I am beyond excited for you and my heart is bursting with love and joy my friend.”
Newland MP Olivia Savvas said: “The best. Big village is waiting patiently.”
Ms Stinson is keeping the details of her birth a secret for now without indicating the expected date of arrival or the gender of the baby.
This comes after Ms Stinson’s successful career as a journalist, reporting for the ABC, then Ten News and the Seven Network.
Ms Stinson was elected as the MP for Badcoe in March 2018.
