Mr Brock will undergo a triple-bypass heart surgery, and will take one month’s leave of absence from Monday, July 3 – during which time his portfolio responsibilities will be covered by Tom Koutsantonis.

“On behalf of the government, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to Geoff for a speedy recovery,” Premier Peter Malinauskas said.

“Mr Brock is a highly valued and dedicated member of our team. He has our full support in taking the time to focus on his health and we look forward to welcoming him back as soon as his health allows.”
