AN Adelaide woman embroiled in Australia's most expensive divorce wants her case file restricted from her husband.

The Adelaide woman, who cannot be identified, claims she and her estranged husband have spent $36 million on representation since their 2005 split.

She is suing her former lawyers, claiming part of her $10.5 million legal bill is "unfair and unreasonable".

Yesterday Bill Ericson, for the woman, asked the court to set the matter down for argument.

He said the matter of public access to his client's affidavits must also be addressed.

"We're trying to keep things out of the hands of the husband's solicitors," he said.

In July, The Advertiser reported the woman had filed a Supreme Court lawsuit against a city law firm, which denied any improper action. Judge Robert Lunn adjourned the case until April.
