More delays on South Eastern Freeway avoided as truck that broke down in Heysen Tunnels removed
Adelaide Hills residents can breathe a sigh of relief this morning – a truck that broke down in the Heysen Tunnels on the SE Freeway downtrack earlier this morning has been swiftly removed. However, a second bingle between two cars may cause slight delays.

A truck that broke down in the Heysen Tunnels on the SE Freeway downtrack earlier this morning has been removed just in time for the rush hour.
The semi-trailer truck broke down in the left-hand lane on the downtrack inside the Heysen Tunnels about 5.30am.
The stuck truck meant two lanes were still flowing but speeds had been reduced, the Australian Traffic Network said earlier. But by 7am it had been towed away.

Meanwhile, tow trucks are heading to the scene of two-car crash on the freeway. The crash occurred in the city-bound lane about 2km before the Heysen Tunnels about 7.30am.
Police say there are delays but traffic flow should be back to normal soon.

It comes just two days after a truck carrying 3000 chickens flipped on the downtrack near the Crafers turn-off, forcing the Freeway downtrack to close for more than six hours.
The clean-up effort caused about 100 trucks to bank up in the left-hand lane, while diverted cars and buses were brought to a standstill around the Adelaide Hills.
