A MAN has been arrested at Adelaide Airport after he was allegedly non-compliant on a flight and attempted to trip a flight attendant.
The male passenger, 23, was on a Rex flight bound for Broken Hill on Sunday afternoon.
He allegedly refused to switch his phone to flight mode, ignored requests of cabin staff and attempted to trip a flight attendant walking up the aisle of the aircraft.
The flight, which had taxied out onto the runaway, had to be turned around before Australian Federal Police officers escorted the man off.
A Rex spokeswoman said the ground return resulted in a 2 hour-45 minute delay to the service.
They refused to comment whether the man has been banned from future Rex flights.
He was arrested and charged with Commonwealth offences, including assault/threaten/intimidate a crew member of an aircraft and endangering the safety of an aircraft.
He was bailed and due to appear before Adelaide Magistrates Court in February.
