Man in court after massive 7kg meth and guns haul uncovered in western suburbs home seizure

A 33-year-old man will face court again in December after meth and guns were found at a western suburbs home.

A 33-year-old man has faced court charged with drug and firearms offences after illicit substances including 7kg of meth and guns were found at a western suburbs home.

Police from the serious and organised crime branch attended a Rosewater address where they located the meth, a trafficable quantity of cocaine, MDMA, GHB and two firearms on Friday.

The man from the address was arrested and charged with four counts of trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, two counts of possessing a firearm without a licence, two counts of possessing an unregistered firearm and breach of bail.

Officer in charge of serious and organised crime branch Detective Superintendent Shane Addison said the seizure was “significant”.

“This is another significant drug seizure by organised crime detectives which has prevented supply of these harmful drugs,” he said.

“Our resolve to actively disrupt the trafficking of illicit drugs is clear and will be sustained.”

The man appeared in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday where he was remanded in custody to reappear in court on December 5.
