A man has pleaded guilty to exposing himself and asking for sex from women working in shops along a busy Adelaide road.

Paul John Trompp appeared in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday via video where he pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent behaviour after harassing female retail workers for sex on two separate occasions in Findon last month.

During his first court appearance, the 43-year-old man - of no fixed address - was removed from a video link part way through the hearing after yelling and repeatedly interrupting.

The court previously heard Mr Trompp was seen with his hand down his pants by a staff member outside of a Grange Road shop on March 28.

Prosecution said he walked towards the entrance and when the woman asked him what he was doing, he told her “I’ll pay you $50 for sex”.

In a similar incident on March 14, he allegedly solicited another woman working at a different Grange Road shop in Findon and exposed himself to her.

“She asked the accused to leave, he said c’mon a few times and eventually left,” prosecution said.

He was arrested in Findon around 7.30pm on April 1.

Prosecution told the court Mr Trompp earlier stated he may have committed the offence but he didn't remember.

The court heard Mr Trompp has a criminal history in South Australia as well as outstanding warrants in Victoria and Western Australia for separate matters.

Prosecution said he was found guilty in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court last year for offences including basic assault.

The court heard the new offences were in breach of a suspended sentence for those offences.

In April, Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said they were investigating if the man was also responsible for assaulting a woman during a morning run in Brompton in March.

“I don’t have any information to confirm whether or not they are linked (the two incidents) but we are investigating,” he said.

Trompp will return to court in July, to face submissions and sentence for his offending.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed a similar incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
