Man, 62, dies after serious crash on Battunga Rd at Echunga in the Adelaide Hills
A local man has succumbed to his injuries after his car slammed into a tree on a dangerous strip of road in the Adelaide Hills.

A 62-year-old man has died in hospital after a serious crash on a treacherous Adelaide Hills road.
Police and emergency services were called to Battunga Rd, at Echunga, about 2.30pm on Monday afternoon after reports a car had lost control and collided with a tree.
The driver, a 62-year-old local Echunga man, was taken to hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.
Sadly, he died on Tuesday night.
Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Battunga Rd was closed to all traffic while emergency services attended the scene, but reopened about 3.30pm on Monday.
His car was towed from the scene.
