Man, 50, hit in head and arm while three men demand access to firearms at Jervois

A man was taken to hospital after he was beaten with a plank of wood and a hammer in a violent home invasion that played out in front of the victim’s 11-year-old daughter.

Three men forced their way into a Jervois Rd home about 3.30am on Wednesday morning while the victim at the address, 50, his partner, and daughter slept.

After waking and refusing to hand over firearms, the man was hit in the head with multiple items including timber, a hammer and a fire extinguisher as his daughter watched on.

The trio left with keys to several vehicles.

The victim was taken to Murray Bridge Hospital for treatment.
