Man, 20, charged with arson after truck and grass fires at Penfield overnight
Police attended a northern suburbs home after witnesses reported seeing a car leaving the scene of the fires.

A man aged in his 20s has been charged over a spate of fires in the northern suburbs overnight.
Police and fire crews were alerted to a truck fire on Heaslip Road, Penfield near the Northern Expressway just after midnight.
Fire crews quickly put out the blaze before it spread.
Shortly after, they were called to two other grass fires in the same suburb along Argent Rd and Robert Rd, Penfield Gardens.
Following investigations, police attended an Elizabeth East home after witnesses had reportedly seen a car leaving the scene of the fires.
A 20-year-old man at the home was arrested and charged with arson and causing a bushfire.
He is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday, after being refused police bail.
Police are urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
