Man stabbed in road rage attack in Adelaide (9 News)

A knife-wielding woman has allegedly stabbed a motorist in the stomach after a road rage incident at Woodville South.

Police allege that about 6.10pm on Tuesday an altercation occurred between a man driving a silver Holden Commodore station wagon and a woman driving a grey Honda Accord sedan.

The incident happened at the intersection of Trimmer Parade and Findon Road.

While there was no collision, it is alleged once stopped at the intersection, the woman exited her car and stabbed the man in the stomach with a knife, while he was in the driver’s seat.

The woman reportedly leaned through the open driver’s side window to stab the man.

A police spokesman said a nearby motorist called police.

There is no indication yet what sparked the altercation.

The victim, a 53-year-old man from Hendon was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment of minor injuries.

The 32-year-old woman from Ferryden Park was charged with aggravated assault cause harm. She was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
