18-year-old motorbike rider dead after crashing in state’s southeast
It is understood the man died at the scene, just hours after a horrific crash claimed the life of a woman north of Adelaide.

A man has died after losing control of his motorbike on a country road just hours after another horrific accident north of Adelaide.
On Friday February 2 at around 8:20pm, emergency services were dispatched to Glenroy Bool Lagoon Rd, Glenroy, in the state’s southeast after reports of a crash.
The 18-year-old driver died at the scene and Major Crash officers attended shortly afterwards.
Glenroy Bool Lagoon Road, between Riddoch Highway and Flint Road was closed but has since been reopened.
The man’s death is the 6th life lost on South Australian roads this year compared to 13 at the same time last year.
The tragedy comes just hours after a young woman lost her life in a horrific crash between a car and a school bus north of Adelaide on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Mallala Rd and Navvy Hill Rd about 7.15am on Friday after reports a Fuso bus and Ford sedan had collided.
A 23-year-old Elizabeth North woman – who was a passenger in the car – died at the scene.
The driver of the sedan, a 22-year-old Freeling man and the other passenger, a 19-year-old Davoren Park woman, were flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment, with the passenger being treated for serious injuries.
