This little piggy is balancing on the sign on the roof of family-operated Italian eatery Buonasera Restaurant on Glen Osmond Rd.

And his appearance has left its owner Ilario Nesci scratching his chinny chin chin.

How on earth did he get up there? And why?

Mr Nesci went for his daily walk around the area on Tuesday morning and spotted a plastic Pink pig atop his front door.

“Pigs don’t fly, but it’s landed on my roof,” Mr Nesci said.

He said he was “confused” about how it appeared on the roof of his restaurant.

Finding the humour in the odd situation, Mr Nesci said it would be more beneficial if it were a live pig.

“We don’t even have pork on the menu. I wish it was real, I could’ve made sausages out of it.”

He added the pig looked “professionally mounted”.

Mr Nesci “wouldn’t have a clue” who put the pig there and believed it may have been a mistake, potentially meant for another restaurant.

He has contacted the police, who have said he needs to go to a police station to make a report about the unusual guest.
