Defence personnel at the Keswick Army Barracks have been forced to evacuate after another bomb threat.

The threat was reportedly made on Tuesday afternoon.

A defence spokesman confirmed an “incident” had taken place at the facility.

“Defence is aware of an incident at Keswick Barracks resulting in an evacuation,” he said. “Defence is unable to comment further at this time, please direct all enquiries to South Australian Police.”

The latest scare follows a series of hoax threats against schools and medical facilities across South Australia that police confirmed it was investigating last week.

“Police have commenced an investigation in relation to the source of these threats, and will prosecute any individual identified to be involved in the dissemination of these threats,” an SA Police spokeswoman said.

“Police remind the public to be aware of any suspicious activity and contact 131444 to report any suspicious behaviour.

“Businesses are reminded to carry out normal protocols around security if they are the recipient of one of these threats.”

However, SAPOL refused to confirm details of the incident involving the Keswick Barrack, stating it was not their policy.
