Ms Liddle has worked in the private and public sector, and has spent time as the chairperson of the Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute.

She has also served as a board member for both the Adelaide University and University of South Australia.

Currently, Ms Liddle has been working for Social Services Minister and senior SA Liberal Anne Ruston as a staffer for the last 16 months.

Ms Liddle said her skills and experience make her a “confident” and “natural fit” for the position.

“This has been a long term ambition of mine,” Ms Liddle said.

“The strength I have is the diversity of my experiences … it bodes well to represent the views of South Australia and contribute to a range of areas for the state.”

Ms Liddle is hoping her “history of contribution” will be illustrated during her upcoming campaign prior to the election.

“The plan is to work very closely with the Liberal Senate team, to get as many senators up as we can from South Australia.”

Also moving within the state government circle is the Premier’s current top media adviser, Ashton Hurn, who on Saturday morning was elected as the candidate for Schubert for the 2022 State Election.

The Advertiser can reveal that Ms Hurn will be moving to resign from her role in the Premier’s office, in order to become a full-time candidate.

In a statement released on Saturday morning, Ms Hurn said she was “honoured to be selected” for the candidacy.

Ms Hurn is “looking forward to meeting with local people, families, small businesses and community groups about what matters most to them.”

On the other side of the political agenda, the Opposition have announced that Federal Labor Member for Spence, Nick Champion, has nominated for preselection for the state electorate of Taylor.

Mr Champion has been serving the people of Taylor for 13 years from a Federal level, contributing to projects such as the Angle Vale Sports Facility, Playford North GP Super Clinic and Bunyip Water Reuse Project.

He is hoping to “deliver vital services” to the people he represents from a Federal level.

“These are people I have been proud for serve for the past 13 years and I hope to continue to serve for many years to come,” Mr Champion said.
